English Oak Sideboard- #12,500 - $13,500
Important period English Oak sideboard c 1700-1750, with double board top, original back board and hand grooved plate holder. Rich English oak with great color and patina, has the usual color variations, stains and blemishes. There are 3 spacious working and locking drawers, an attractive scalloped shaped skirt. Obvious peg constriction, dovetailed drawers and original brass hardware. Purchased at Auction at Christies in London over 25 years ago. Georgian with Queen Anne front legs on spade foot. Overall in very good antique condition. This piece is 250 years old so there are a few scratches and age related small cracks but there are no noticeable or visible restorations throughout. The visual appearance is very good with desirable age appropriate wear. Measures 79 inches long, 18 inches deep, 37 inches to its top back splash.
