French Farm Table & Work Benches- $11,500 - $12,500
« Back to Album | Photo 5 of 8 | Previous | Next |
Large Antique French Farm Table and Two Benches. This table is circa 1815-1840 and is able to seat 8 very comfortably. This magnificent farm table has a worn polished look with a warm attractive patina of aged natural Walnut.  This table does have skillfully crafted tenon and mortise construction and bread board top. It has a small apron of 4" allowing for lots of leg room. The table top sits over four straight tapered legs with a long dovetailed drawer at one end. There are very old worm holes in the ends of the dovetailed drawer, that are natural and not man made, helping us to date and authenticate this table. There are two matching 1815-1840 shaped plank walnut benches, one for each side of the table. One of the best examples of 19th Century French Farm House Tables this appraiser has seen. Purchased in London in a Fine Antique Store specializing in French Antiques. The table measures 79 inches long, 30 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The benches measure 73 inches long, 6 inches wide and 20 inches tall.
Retail Replacement value priced with benches.
